Our basic seminar focuses on general cultural characteristics and tensions between German and French culture. The topics include:

- Cultural significance of family structures and personal relationships
- Cross-cultural communication in everyday working life and private life
- Dealing with criticism and resolving conflicts
- Differences in perception of time and planning structure
Seminar 2 – Economic, Professional and Business Life
The focus of this seminar is on the manners and peculiarities of business life in German-French comparison. The topics include:
- Corporate hierarchies and roles
- Forms of communication – two-way communication business practices and cultural traditions in negotiations
- Importance of loyalty, trust and patriarchal structures in business
- Verbal and non-verbal communication
- Stereotypes, cultural standards and business etiquette
- Country-specific knowledge
- Misunderstanding and conflict management
- Differentiation of self-perception and external perception
- Insight into the expectations of customers
- Confident approach in business situations
- Simulations and role-playing
- Reflection phases in which unconscious behavioural patterns are revealed
